What can be configured?

Can we add services beyond GP consultations?

Yes. The standard setup is based around GP consultations, but wider services such as health screens, blood tests, STI testing, diagnostics and other services can be added by speaking to DocTap. Who books the appointment?

How does pricing work?

DocTap charges the same standard appointment rates that direct patients pay, with no setup fee, platform fee, subscription fee or long-term contract. Current 15-minute GP appointments are £75 for weekday clinic, £85 for weekend clinic, £65 for weekday video and £75 for weekend video. Longer 25-minute appointments are also available. Can appointment costs be split between the organisation and the individual?

Yes. For direct-booking setups, organisations can set contribution rules so the organisation covers all or part of the appointment cost and the employee, student or policyholder pays the remaining contribution at checkout.

Can an organisation add its own charge or margin?

For organisation-managed bookings, any additional charge to patients, guests, clients or members is entirely at the organisation’s discretion and handled outside DocTap. DocTap charges its standard patient rate for the appointment and does not manage or control any separate pricing your organisation applies.

Can organisations access clinical records?

Clinical records are confidential by default. Healthcare providers and health insurers can request consented access to DocTap clinical records for patients under their organisation account. This may include consultation notes, test results, letters, prescriptions and related clinical information, but only with patient consent. Employers, hotels, schools, universities, concierge services and members clubs can manage access, bookings, billing or usage depending on their setup, but they do not see clinical records.
