Set up in minutes

Create a hotel account online, add your payment method and start arranging guest appointments without contracts, procurement or scheme design.

Commercial control, no clinical admin

Guest confidentiality protected

Your team can manage bookings and billing, but guest medical records are never shared with the hotel.

Hotel account setup

How it works

It takes a few minutes to set up. Once your hotel account is live, your team can arrange a guest's GP appointment in a couple of clicks.

  • 1
    Create your hotel concierge account
Choose Hotel concierge as your organisation type, then add your hotel details.
  • 2
    Add your payment card
Add the payment card details. The hotel pays DocTap for guest consultations, and any guest-facing charge is handled outside DocTap.
  • 3
    Add guests and arrange appointments
Your team adds the guest and books the GP consultation on their behalf.
  • 4
    DocTap provides the care
The consultation is delivered by DocTap at one of our London clinics, with online appointments available when clinically suitable.
  • 5
    Guests keep their DocTap account
Guests keep access to their DocTap clinical account and can book directly with DocTap after checkout.
  • 6
    Track bookings and billing
Your team can manage appointments and billing, while clinical records are not shared with the hotel.

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of guest requests can DocTap help with?

DocTap can help with many common travel and day-to-day medical needs, including new symptoms, prescriptions, medical letters, sick notes, and rapid testing.

Can DocTap see guests visiting from abroad?

Yes. DocTap can see guests who are not UK residents, including international visitors. They are seen in the same way as any other private patient.

Can DocTap provide a fit-to-fly certificate?

Yes. Fit-to-fly assessments are carried out in clinic, as an in-person examination is required. They are not available by video.

Can hotel guests usually be seen the same day?

DocTap offers same-day private GP appointments across our London clinics, subject to availability. Different clinics have different appointment times available, and online appointments may also be suitable for some concerns.

Can hotels arrange appointments for children?

Yes. Hotels can arrange DocTap appointments for children staying at the hotel, but the child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Can DocTap provide prescriptions and medication?

Yes. DocTap GPs can issue prescriptions when clinically appropriate. Some medicines may be available from selected clinics, while others will need to be collected from a pharmacy. Medication is charged separately from the appointment.

Is DocTap suitable for emergencies?

No. DocTap is not an emergency service. Guests with urgent or emergency symptoms should be directed to 999, A&E or the appropriate emergency service.

Who pays if the hotel arranges the appointment?

Payment is taken by card at the point of booking, and the card can be the hotel's or the guest's own. Consolidated invoicing is possible as a bespoke arrangement, so speak to us. The same rates, cancellation and refund policies apply as for regular DocTap patients. Any charge the hotel adds for the guest is handled by the hotel, outside DocTap.

Will the hotel see the guest’s medical records?

No. Hotels can manage bookings and billing, but they do not see consultation notes, prescriptions, test results or clinical documents. Medical records stay confidential between the guest and DocTap.
